SJ: YouthQuake2011+

"And I feel like I'm breaking up, and I wanted to stay

Headlights on the hillside, don't take me this way
I don't want you to hold me, I don't want you to pray
This is bigger than us"

This song feels like the current state of our generation.
It's elegantly grotesque and damaged.
We're on the brink of coming into adulthood, on the edge of our chrysalis stage.
Thinking about this has me kinda depressed/scared and also happy/excited about the future.
I want a life that lets me see/feel/smell/hear/taste/experience new things everyday.
My biggest fear in life is to be complacent with nothingness.
To not create anything, to let my creativity die down and become a nobody.
I know that a working class hero is something to be, but thats not the life I want.
I don't  ever wanna be at a mental stand still.
I wanna meet new people and do new things.
I feel like this generation could do so many amazing things.
We could establish new cultures, new music genres, new art forms.
We just need to pull together and create and celebrate a new school of thought.

(sry if I'm not making any sense/rambling, but I needed to say this.)

Flying Cars and Robot Maids

It feels like I wrote this last week.
ash/fireworks/alex fischer
(these pictures remind me of the future/the past/now aka all that good stuff NYE is supposed to make you think about.)

This year has been a short but productive one for me and for the blog (not as productive as it could have been, but it was still pretty good:))) I've done thing and met people that I would'nt have been able to otherwise.
And I realized something amazing.
PEOPLE ACTUALLY CARE ABOUT WHAT I WRITE HERE!!!
Its crazy to me, but I just wanna thank all my readers/followers/commentors/supporters.
I feel that I have created a thoughtful, dexterous and at times angsty environment to vent my thoughts/feelings on fashion/art/music, and it feels good to know that people appreciate/read it.
:)
Its personable, but I want it to be more personal.
so thats my 2011 NYR, to be a little more personal here on the blog. Not in a creepy way, but in a  more conversational way.

I like where my blog is and I love where I see it going.
I have some plans for 2011, including  a name change,(don't worry I'll let everybody know) and MORE OUTFIT PICS, but enough about me and the blog,
GO OUT AND HAVE FUN!!! ITS THE LAST DAY OF THE 1ST DECADE OF THE NEW MILLENIUM!!!

(I'll be at home watching this)
